Powercut Used Equipment Warranty

NOTE:   Warranty periods on used equipment can vary from one machine to another depending on the machine and what we have offered at the time of sale. The full terms and conditions of used equipment warranty can also vary, depending on what was purchased or offered with the equipment, so to find what warranty goes with your machine,  please check your purchase documentation for full details.  Please bear in mind that it is a fundamental principle of ours that our customers should be happy with the equipment they buy from us… so we are here to help with anything that is reasonable!

Here however is a guide to our standard warranty terms:

For used or pre-owned equipment, Powercut will provide the following warranty to the original purchaser only, within the period stated and agreed at the time of purchase. This period must be stated on the purchase invoice.  Note that this is a “return to base” warranty, where the customer must return the equipment to our workshop for repairs or pay any transportation costs incurred.

In the event of the sudden and unforeseen mechanical failure of major components within the equipment, (eg engine, transmission, steering & chassis) during the warranty period stated, Powercut will repair or replace the failed component, or part thereof, to a standard at least equal to that prior to the failure, subject to the conditions and exclusions described below.

Powercut will provide and/or pay the cost of labour to effect repairs at a rate determined by Powercut and if required will, whenever possible, supply free of charge a working secondhand (pre-used) part or component to replace the failed item. Should it not be possible to replace the part on a pre-used “like for like” basis, Powercut will pay up to a maximum of one half of the retail cost of a new and unused part as replacement. The other half of the retail cost of new parts must be paid by the customer.

Powercut may at it’s discretion decline the repair of the equipment and refund the purchase price to the customer, in exchange for the equipments return to Powercut, less the sum of 2% of the purchase price per week from date of invoice to the reporting of the failure and less the cost to repair any other damage that may have occurred to the machine whilst under the care of the customer.

The equipment must have been used in the manner to which it was intended by the manufacturer and must have been used by a competent and suitably trained person. Failure to use the equipment in a suitable manner will invalidate this warranty.
